Because of the current stay-at-home orders and quarantine protocols, it’s hard to get out of our homes to spend some time with the people we love. Although some restaurants are slowly starting to re-open for dine-in transactions, the fear of possibly catching the virus is still present. Aside from that, restaurants require their diners to sit at least a meter apart. Because of this, the experience doesn’t quite feel as intimate. With continuously growing and still so many active cases, my partner and I decided to celebrate our recent anniversary here, at home.

Celebrating an anniversary at home is truly a different experience compared to spending it at restaurants or other local spots. At first, thinking of an activity to do was a bit difficult. There was just so much we could do in our tiny house. So, we looked online for some ideas. We wanted to make our anniversary celebration simple but memorable. We looked for some food to order. Eventually, we decided to buy food online from Malagos Homegrown Produce. They have a variety of food available on their website such as fresh produce, frozen meals, and meal kits. We ordered the meal kits since these were much easier and more convenient. We ordered the burger and salad meal kits and had them via delivery. Cooking the meals was very simple and it didn’t take us so much time. Because of that, we were able to spend some more quality time together instead of spending long hours trying to prepare a meal.

For our celebration, we made a picnic setup. We put up some fairy lights around our living room and a few blankets and pillows on the floor. We actually exerted effort to make this celebration a memorable one. My partner and I watched a movie together and just spent some time talking and catching up. Despite not being able to go out of our house for our celebration, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The Malagos meal kits also played a big role in making our bellies happy and satisfied.

If you want to check out the meal kits and other foods of Malagos Homegrown Produce yourself, go check them out on their website at www.malagoshomegrownproduce.com. Their products are all locally produced so buying from them is also a great way to support local businesses!
