The beauty of a resort lies not only in its beautiful amenities and many activities, but also on the quality of food that it offers. Things ring true in one of our best beach resorts in Davao Oriental, Camp Bernardino de Lavigan. When you get the chance to check out one of Governor Genoroso’s new resorts, make sure to drop by, stay the night and dig into Camp Bernardino de Lavigan’s fresh seafood gastronomic delights!

  1. Lobster — ultimate top spot holder in our list. The great thing about coming to Camp Bernardino is that they are abundant in this all time favorite seafood catch, and you can take home some for yourself as a pasalubong! Thanks to their ever so warm staff, they can arrange for you to get an early catch along the stretch of Lanca beach (which is by the way just 15 minutes away from the property, perfect for that early morning surf ride), and prep them all in a cooler all set to take home!
  2. Gangis — not many people know about this species of fish because we rarely see one in the typical supermarkets in Davao. This fish is known for its rubber like skin which makes it perfect for a grilled recipe. Make sure to remove the skin before taking a bite though, and dig into the juicy white meat grilled to perfection.
  3. Saramia — If you’re craving for some hot bowl of soup for dinner, then this fish is the one for you. Saramia is best served as the main ingredient of a traditional tinola or sinigang. Warm your tummy up before capping the night off with signature drinks and pica pica.

A fresh seafood catch is definitely a no-fail food trip especially when you enjoy it in such a cozy laid back place such as Camp Bernardino. Their menu is a showcase of traditional Pinoy food infused with modern takes perfect for the conservative and adventurous palate alike! So what are you waiting for? Check them out now at campbernardino.com and make sure to experience a total seafood overload food trip on your next visit with them.
