Composed of 7,107 stunning islands,we are basically the destination for any marine life enthusiast who would want to discover more about the waterworld. Although we went through the phase of practicing poor marine preservation and conservation, the marine protection programs and other government luckily initiated cleanups. One example would be the Boracay rehabilitation that has been implemented to restore the beauty of our pristine diving sites. Boracay, Palawan, and Moalboal are just a few of the favorite diving spots that even foreigners would go to the Philippines just to experience all of them themselves. From enormous whale sharks in Cebu to the shipwrecks in Puerto Princesa, there’s truly so much more to explore in the seas of the Philippines.

Fortunately, we also have several spots that are waiting to be discovered here in Mindanao. Aside from the famous Camiguin Islands, there are also quite a number of new up-and-coming spots that people, especially divers, are yet to discover. Areas along the Pacific Ocean is one of the spots that divers from all around the world visit. Aside from the fact that it is a place that not many people go to, divers also get excited about the thought that these areas are certainly untouched. And the Pacificic being home to an enormous colorful marine life, divers can probably discover new species for themselves whenever they come.Technical dives have been done in the area and divers have already attested to seeing sting rays, pawikan, and trenches that serve as home to colorful creatures underwater.

In Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental, which is mostly unheard of by regular tourists, one can find himself truly being one with nature. Along with the diving sites, there is also just one amazing resort where one can stay and experience Davao Oriental’s marine life. Camp Bernardino de Lavigan offers glamping accommodations that are great not only for divers, but all sorts of tourists as well! With glamping, there are no luxurious hotels nor luxurious services, purely the experience of being outdoors without the hassle of actual camping. So if you’re looking to stay for longer dive experiences, snorkeling and all those underwater activities, Camp Bernardino is the best place to stay in Governor Generoso! It’s new, and untarnished — making it an ideal place to see in awe the underwater paradise. Check out this beach resort in Davao now and learn more about them on their Facebook page.
